Phil Mumma, Founder/Hitting/Slapping/Position Play Instructor

Phil Mumma is a veteran of more than 40 years of playing and coaching experience.  He has coached at the collegiate, club, and high school levels, winning numerous championships along the way, including two ASA 18U national titles and the 2009 ASA 18 Gold National Championship.  Phil has been selected as a CIF North Coast Section Honor Coach, one of only 22 high school coaches in the history of the section to have been so honored.  Like other Sorcerer instructors, Phil teaches the MLB or elite swing, the shortest, most powerful stroke in the game, and one that is used by elite hitters throughout softball.  His students have achieved high school all-state and all-American recognition, collegiate All-American honors, have been selected for the USA National Team and Junior National Team and have participated in the Olympic Games.  He currently coaches the 2009 ASA national champion Sorcerer Softball 18 Gold team.  You can contact Phil through the academy or at 925-367-9012 or phil_mumma@yahoo.com
